Aparna and Suri's vacation in India is over.

Aparna and Suri have completed their 28 day vacation in India and have left to USA. The last few days were busy and hectic, but every moment worth it. The final twist was Aditya's visit. He came, he saw and he left....to Pune. Poor chap, did not get enought time to spend with his sister. It was with a heavy heart that we saw them off. All four of us miss them a lot.

Never knew it could be so painful seeing them off. I wonder how much more tougher it would be to see Manu off after her marriage.

MANTRALAYAM TRIP

The trip to Mantralayam was just great.

We covered KALLUR, MANTRALAYAM, PANCHAMUKHI & BICHALI. The first three places were of the several regular trips to Mantralayam, Bichali was because of Mummy (Divya's mother). We did not regret it either.

Kallur - Sri Mahalakshmi (also called Kolhapur Mahalakshmi) is a goddess for true devotees and believers. We pray and place our request with the goddess, and she grants it. Simply amazing. Need proof - ?. You can talk to me.

Althrough it was a EKADASI, we truly enjoyed the darshan of Sri Raghavendra Swamy. The close darshan was just ecstatic. As ususal we had a moment of panic with the little rascal (Guruprasad), but what could possibly go wrong in his presence and in his temple.

Bichali - Brindavan of Sri Appanacharya, was amazing. Termed to be NAGA LOKA, the place is right on the banks of river Tungabhadra. The river was swift and with good water this time. The house or Sri Appanacharya (said to be 400+ years) was a treat. Maintained by the lineage of Sri Appanacharya, the place is a believer's paradise. Still preserved are the places where Sri Raghavendra Swamy slept on the floor at Sri Appanacharya's residence. The photo (3rd one) shows the same. The 4th pic shows the lord. The other pics (I could not carry the Canon. I had to use my NOKIA 6681 to click the pics). included those of the house, the pedestal (mandasana) on which the pooja was performed etc.

The road was bad, but the pain negligible.

THEIR VACATION

Akka, Suri & Medha are almost at the end of their vacation in India and have to head back to USA. We would miss them for probably another three years. We hope we would be able to visit USA on a holiday in 2010 and by that time, our son would also be grown up a bit to enjoy a different country. I am most disturbed that my loved ones are going away just a few days later. I am counting down till their trip back to USA. The kids Manogya and Guruprasad are also quite attached to Akka.

Tomorrow is the party for Medha's Birthyday. Let us look forward to cherish as many memories as we can until their stay in India.
